This week begins a series of visits to the magnificent gardens surrounding Rome. Buses depart from the Parco della Musica on weekends through April 5, taking visitors to a number of nearby locations for half-day excursions. The series opens this Saturday, March 21, with a trip to the Tenuta D’Amico, in the valley of Vaiano on the border where Lazio meets Tuscany and Umbria. Sunday, March 22, the visit is to the immense flowering gardens of Ninfa, among the most beautiful in Italy, immersed in medieval ruins near Sermoneta. Departure 9 am from the Parco della Musica, return 2 pm. €30.
